College Houses & Academic Services invites you
to participate in its sixth annual Penn Student Film Festival.

Explore your creative talents, become engaged in Penn's film community and win great prizes!

The competition is limited to registered students of the University of Pennsylvania.

Films will be screened in selected College Houses on March 22-24, 2010. Participants at each College House screening will then determine finalist films, which will be then screened at The Bridge Cinema DeLuxe on Thursday, March 25, 2010 and compete for the grand prizes.

First prize is $500 cash; second prize is $300 cash; and third prize is $150 cash.  There will be an Audience Favorite prize valued at $50.

Film Festival entrants are also urged to enter their films in the national 2010 AHECTA Student Production Awards competition!

2010 Student Film Festival Submission Guidelines:

1. Films can be no longer than ten minutes. All genres of films will be accepted to the competition, but there are not separate categories for awards.

2. All entries must be submitted in DVD format. Each film must be accompanied by an entry form. Each individual or team can submit only one entry.

3. We will not disqualify films that contain copyrighted material. However, please be aware that we may not be able to screen your film at the Bridge and you will not be able to submit your film to other festivals if it contains copyrighted materials. We encourage you to use music or other materials that are either in the public domain or that you have permission to use (i.e. a friend's band). Films with copyrighted material can not be rebroadcast on PVN or any additional outlets we may explore.

4. We will not accept films that have already been submitted to past editions of the Penn Student Film Festival. Films that have been publicly broadcast elsewhere are screenable but they are not eligible for the competition. We very much encourage films completed for a class!
