Prof. Daniel Gillion wins Carnegie Fellowship

Congratulations to Rodin Faculty Director Prof. Daniel Q. Gillion, who was selected as a 2018 Andrew Carnegie Fellow!  Prof. Gillion, who in addition to leading Rodin College House is also the Julie Beren Platt and Marc E. Platt Presidential Associate Professor of Political Sciences in SAS, intends to consider "The Loud Minority: Why Protests Matter in American Democracy."  Studying protests from 1940 to 2018 and surveying voters after this fall's midterm elections, he will examine how protests drive participation in our political process, including voter turnout, issues of gerrymandering, and how political dissent can increase communication about political issues among the American people.  Read more at Penn Today.
