Every year, the College Houses form intramural teams that participate in games and various activities, most of which are scheduled through the Department of Recreation at Penn. The teams accumulate points toward the ultimate goal of winning the Michael Houseman College House Cup which is a large, impressive trophy donated by the former Stouffer GA and sports enthusiast. The winning House also retains bragging rights throughout the year.
The House teams and activities are coordinated by an Intramural Liaison (IL) in each House. ILs assist in the marketing and registration of College House Cup programming, which consists of the Department of Recreation’s Intramural Sports and special events. The time commitment consists of periodic captains’ meetings and emails to the House listserv notifying residents of events and registration info. Additional time will be spent posting flyers and compiling registration info (i.e. team names, captains, free agents, etc.).
Residents who are interested in becoming the Intramural Liaison for their House should contact their House Deans.
