The Penn Bookstore offers a wide assortment of products and services to meet the needs of Penn faculty, staff, students, and the surrounding community.

Students should be aware of the many course material resources and options available to them through the Penn Bookstore. The Penn Bookstore has an expansive catalog of digital course materials. With many classes being offered online in Fall 2020, digital options are more important than ever, and the Penn Bookstore has made available thousands of digital titles for both rental and purchase. Digital formats give students the flexibility to access the materials they need from anywhere in the world. For materials that are available digitally, the Penn Bookstore will provide you with free e-reader software to download and view your books.

In addition to digital options, affordability is a key priority of the Penn Bookstore. The Bookstore offers options for textbook rentals & purchase or rental of used course materials:. Renting a textbook can save you over 50% of the cost of purchasing a book—sometimes even more! Similar, purchasing a used textbook can save you a significant amount. The Bookstore makes available a variety of both rental and used options for course materials. The Bookstore also offers it Price Match Program, and will match the prices at Amazon.com and B&N.com. More details about this program are available on the Penn Bookstore’s website.
