Shipping packages is easy at Penn! Learn more about mail, both on and off campus:

Student Mail Services:
Correctly addressed first class mail is sorted into student mailboxes, Monday - Friday. Packages are delivered to residential package rooms, Monday - Saturday. Residents are notified of package deliveries via email or by package slip placed in their mailbox.

In order to ensure timely delivery, all parcels and mail sent to campus must use the official United States Postal Service (USPS) address format. Click “Housing Assignment” to see the proper address format for your campus residence. The College House Abbreviation and Building Code will be different for every College House and Sansom Place. It is essential that your mail box number appear after the College House abbreviation, or mail may be returned to sender.

Note: USPS “delivery confirmation” for mail sent to campus is confirmed upon arrival at the Philadelphia Post Office, which is before delivery to the Penn campus. In other words, when a student receives "delivery confirmation" on mail from USPS, this does not necessarily confirm that the package was delivered to campus. An extra day or two beyond the confirmation for mail to actually arrive on campus and at your residence is not uncommon.

Penn PersonalShip:

All members of the Penn Community have access to the University’s new PersonalShip program which allows you to ship your express mail packages via UPS and DHL at Penn’s negotiated rates, resulting in significant savings on shipping costs.

PersonalShip is easy to use. Simply enter in your credit/debit card information, fill out the requested information, print your shipping label and any other necessary documentation, and affix it to your package.

You will need a Pennkey and password to access PersonalShip.
