Riepe Fellow wins Emerald Literati Award
Riepe College House Fellow Prof. Amy Stornaiuolo, associate professor in the literacy, culture and international education division of Penn’s Graduate School of Education, received a 2019 Emerald Literati Award in the category of English Teaching for her article with T. Philip Nichols and Veena Vasudevan, “Building Spaces for Literacy in School: Mapping the Emergence of a Literacy Makerspace,” which appeared in Vol. 17. No. 4 of English Teaching: Practice and Critique. Dr. Stornaiuolo’s research examines adolescents’ multimodal composing practices, teachers’ uses of digital technologies and shifting relationships between authors and audiences in online, networked spaces. Congratulations, Prof. Stornaiuolo!
